Modern computer processor, platform and infrastructure architectures. Instruction-set architecture and high-performance processor organization including pipelining, data and instruction parallelism. Cache, memory and storage architectures. Coherent multiprocessors. Interconnection and network infrastructures.

Homework - 4 problem sets during the semester Project work - First half research milestone due midterm week, and oral presentaion. Another project and oral presentation in mid-December and a 10 page written report due on Dean's date.
