Digital Communications and Networks

Historical overview of digital communications. Introductory information theory. Data compression. Error detection and correction code. Baseband transmission systems and optimum reception. Digital modulation and demodulation.

Prerequisites and Restrictions:
ELE 301 and ORF 309. Familiarity with topics covered by ELE485 is desirable..
