Digital Communications and Networks
Historical overview of digital communications. Introductory information theory. Data compression. Error detection and correction code. Baseband transmission systems and optimum reception. Digital modulation and demodulation.

ELE 301 and ORF 309 are prerequisites. Familiarity with topics covered by ELE 485 is desirable..
