Topics in Domestic Policy Analysis - Health Policy Reform
An overview of the history, politics, and contemporary policy challenges in health care, focusing on health insurance and health-care organization. Covers the design and implementation of major federal programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and the Affordable Care Act. Special attention to current issues regarding federalism, insurance exchanges and insurance-market reforms, cost containment, quality improvement, and vulnerable populations.
