Prerequisites and Restrictions:
Open to students enrolled in the field semester in Kenya.
In the first half of the course, group field projects will explore the relationship between scientific research and land management. Field research will be carried on at the Mpala Research Centre. In the second half of the course, students will investigate the effectiveness of different land management practices for conservation through a series of site visits and interviews in various parts of Kenya.
