Spanish Culture and Art
ENROLLMENT BY APPLICATION OR INTERVIEW. DEPARTMENTAL PERMISSION REQUIRED.
This course aims to give an overview of Spanish culture and art throughout history and in the present day. The first part of the course, taught by a regional professor, examines in detail the work of six masters of Spanish painting - El Greco, Velázquez, Goya, Picasso, Dalí and Miró. The second part, taught by Prof. Alberto Bruzos Moro, will provide historical and cultural background information, as well as support and feedback for the written assignments of the first component.
