Advanced French Language and Style

To improve spoken and written French through attentive study of French grammatical and syntactic structures and rhetorical styles, with a variety of creative, analytical and practical writing exercises, and reading of literary and non-literary texts.

Reading/Writing assignments:
Students are expected to read 30-70 pages per week. One short paper due every other week.

Requirements/Grading:
Paper in lieu of Final - 20%
Papers - 50%
Class/Precept Participation - 30%

Prerequisites and Restrictions:
A 200-level French course or permission of instructor..
