Vergil's Aeneid

ENROLLMENT BY APPLICATION OR INTERVIEW. DEPARTMENTAL PERMISSION REQUIRED.

This course will concentrate on the role of topography and landscape in the poem. Students will be required to participate in a trip to Italy over Spring Break.

Reading/Writing assignments:
Reading: 200 to 300 lines of Latin per week. One term paper.

Requirements/Grading:
Mid Term Exam - 20%
Take Home Final Exam - 20%
Oral Presentation(s) - 15%
Term Paper(s) - 30%
Class/Precept Participation - 15%

Other Requirements:
International Travel Required

LAT 203 or permission of instructor..
