Policy Workshop - Assessing UN Peacebuilding Efforts

DEPARTMENT CONSENT IS REQUIRED TO ADD THIS CLASS

This workshop will take an independent look at the operations of the UN Peace-building Commission (PBC). Established in 2005, the PBC is an inter-governmental advisory body, composed of UN Member States, with the mandate to promote peace-building, recovery, reconstruction and development in post-conflict states. The policy workshop is likely to focus on only two of these countries: Burundi and Liberia.
