Weather and Climate Dynamics
Dynamics and physical interpretation of principal tropospheric circulation systems, including stationary and transient phenomena observed in middle and low latitudes. Roles of the atmospheric general circulation in maintaining various components of the Earth's climate system. Characteristics of atmospheric variability on intraseasonal and interannual time scales.
