Students will read approximately 150 pages per week. Each student will write a Memorandum of Law on a subject jointly selected with Professor Hawkins. Students will learn the structure and content of briefs, memorandum and verbal arguments in class.
Paper in lieu of Final - 40%

Not Open to Freshmen.
Class will be evenly divided between a Socratic exploration of topics raised in an environmental law textbook, which is designed to parallel a law school course. Students will be divided randomly into Moot Court Teams, and will write two briefs, and prepare and deliver two oral arguments in the Supreme Court of Princeton. Each student will also prepare notes for the rest of the class for one class of reading and discussion.
