Students will read approximately 50 pages a week including articles from the literature. We will assign quantitative problem sets and shorter essays. Students will discuss readings and assignments in weekly precepts.

Prerequisites and Restrictions:
Prerequisites: Mathematics equivalent to MAT 104 or instructor's permission; and Chemistry equivalent to CHM 202 or instructor's permission; and Biology equivalent to EEB 211 or instructor's permission..
The course fills the requirement of a core course for the ENV certificate and counts towards the departmental requirements in CEE and EEB.
