Topics in Differential Topology - Nonlinear Iterations for Partial Differential Equations

We illustrate several applications of a class of unusual iteration schemes with which one can produce surprising solutions to several systems of partial differential equations. The approach is sometimes called 'convex integration' and has been recently used to prove a long-standing question in the theory of turbulence raised by Lars Onsager. We give a full proof of the Onsager Conjecture, but we also cover some more classical results in geometry and PDEs.
