The goal of this course is to help you find your unique, creative voice by writing the body. We devote each class to two things: work-shopping your stories or essays in an intimate, collaborate environment; and engaging some of the most exciting published writers of our time.

Sample reading list:
Ta Nehisi Coates, Between The World And Me
Diane Ackerman, The Moon By Whalelight
Annie Proulx, Brokeback Mountain
Marya Hornbacher, Wasted
Tom Bissell, War Wounds
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi, Americanah

Reading/Writing assignments:
You will write 4 pieces of fiction or creative non-fiction, each piece about 5 pp. Your final piece of writing will be a revised, edited version of an earlier piece. Each week you will read and work-shop each others' writing in an intimate, collaborative and respectful environment.
