Advanced Japanese I in Japan

A four-week intensive language course taught in Ishikawa, Japan, equivalent to JPN 301.This course covers further academic Japanese reading. Authentic materials including videotaped materials to increase oral-aural comprehension. The course will be comprised of five three-hour classes weekly, extracurricular activities, and a field trip.

Reading/Writing assignments:
Students will read materials in textbooks or the packet, discuss about the related topics, and write short compositions.

Requirements/Grading:
Mid Term Exam - 15%
Final Exam - 25%
Quizzes - 15%
Class/Precept Participation - 15%
Other (See Instructor) - 30%

Other Requirements:
International Travel Required

Prerequisites and Restrictions:
Prerequisite: JPN 107 or equivalent..

Equivalent Courses:
JPN 301J, JPN 301 are considered equivalent courses and cannot be taken multiple times for credit.

Other information:
Section C01 will meet from 6/1/19 to 6/28/19. Section C02 will meet from 7/2/19 to 7/27/19. Other - homework and project assignments will contribute to 30% of the final grade.
