Course Selection Calendar for Freshmen

November 5
Course Offerings available on the Office of the Registrar's web site.

November 12
Advising period begins. You will receive advising appointment information from your Residential College Office (if you are an A.B. student) or from the SEAS Undergraduate Affairs Office (if you are a B.S.E. student).

December 7
Deadline for submitting your completed Academic Planning Form. Print the completed form and take it to your advising appointment for review and for your adviser’s signature. Prior to enrolling in courses for the coming term: A.B. students submit the completed and signed form to their residential college office; B.S.E. students submit the completed and signed form to the SEAS Undergraduate Affairs Office, C-209 Engineering Quad, by 5 PM.

December 10
Freshmen begin course enrollment in SCORE at 7:30 a.m.

December 14
Deadline (11:59 p.m.) for freshmen to enroll in spring courses. The penalty for late enrollment is $10/day.

January 21-25
SCORE reopens during the second week of final exams to allow free course Changes. SCORE closes for undergraduates on January 25 at 11 :59 p.m. Be sure to have course changes approved by your academic adviser. Course changes without your adviser’s approval may put your graduation at risk.

February 4
Spring term classes begin.

February 4-15
SCORE reopens for another round of free add/drop. Be sure to have your course changes approved by your academic adviser. Course changes without your adviser’s approval may put your graduation at risk. The deadline for free add/drop is February 15 at 11:59 p.m.
February 15 at 11:59 p.m. is the deadline to add courses. After February 15, you will be charged $45 per course for changes to your spring term schedule.

Note: Courses Requiring Application or Interview. Course Offerings indicates if a course requires an application or interview. You must visit the pertinent department to receive permission in order to enroll in these courses. Departments grant the permission electronically such that when an approved student attempts to enroll in the course on the web, the enrollment is accepted. Students who do not receive prior departmental approval will not be able to enroll in Application Courses.
